← Bring what you already have

Bring your X bookmarks

Bookmarks on X pile up where no search can reach them. Give them a shelf.

How it works

  1. Add the Moodshelf extension to Chrome and sign in to Moodshelf.
  2. Sign in to x.com in the same browser.
  3. In Moodshelf, open Add, then Import, then X Bookmarks.
  4. Your bookmarked posts come over with their photos and videos noted.
  5. Run it again any time. Moodshelf skips what it already has and brings only your new bookmarks.

Can you export X bookmarks?

Not through X itself. There is no export button for bookmarks, and the data archive you can request from your account settings does not include them. The only official route is paid developer access, which is why most bookmark tools charge a subscription.

Moodshelf's extension reads your bookmarks in your own signed-in browser instead, so nothing leaves your hands except the posts you chose to keep.

Questions

Does Moodshelf need my X password?

No. The extension reads your bookmarks in your own browser, where you are already signed in. Your credentials never touch Moodshelf.

What comes over?

Your bookmarked posts with their text and media. Posts with several photos keep all of them.

Can I sync new bookmarks later?

Yes. Run the import again whenever you like. Moodshelf skips what it already brought over and adds only your new bookmarks.

Can I find posts by who wrote them?

Yes. Search matches the author's name as well as the words in the post.

How many bookmarks can I bring on the free plan?

The free shelf holds 500 items. If an import would go past that, Moodshelf asks you first.

Which browsers work?

The extension runs on Chrome for now.
