Bring your Readwise highlights
Your books and the lines you kept from them, together on one shelf. Your Readwise Reader library can come along too.
How it works
- Get your access token at readwise.io/access_token.
- In Moodshelf, open Add, then Import, then Readwise.
- Paste the token and connect.
- Your books come over with their highlights attached.
How the Readwise connection works
Readwise gives every account a personal access token at readwise.io/access_token. Moodshelf uses it once, to fetch your books and their highlights, and never stores it.
If you use Readwise Reader, its library is a separate import: pick Readwise Reader in the same menu and use the same token.

Is my token safe?
It is used to fetch your highlights and is never stored.
What comes over?
Your books, each with its cover and its highlights attached.
What about my Readwise Reader library?
That is its own import. Pick Readwise Reader in the import menu and use the same token.
How many books can I bring on the free plan?
The free shelf holds 500 items, and each book counts as one. If an import would go past that, Moodshelf asks you first.
Do I need the browser extension?
Not for Readwise. The connection works right in the app.
