Bring your Instagram saves
Everything you have ever tapped save on, out of the bottomless folder and onto a shelf you can actually wander.
How it works
- Add the Moodshelf extension to Chrome and sign in to Moodshelf.
- Sign in to instagram.com in the same browser.
- In Moodshelf, open Add, then Import, then Instagram Saves.
- The extension brings over your saved posts with their images.
- Run it again any time. Moodshelf skips what it already has and brings only your new saves.
Can you export Instagram saved posts?
Not really, through Instagram itself. The official data download, under Accounts Center, includes a list of your saved posts, but it is links in a file, without the images, since the posts belong to other accounts.
Moodshelf takes the direct route instead: the extension reads your saved posts in your own signed-in browser and brings each one over with its images, including carousels.
Questions
Does Moodshelf need my Instagram password?
No. The extension reads your saves in your own browser, where you are already signed in. Your credentials never touch Moodshelf.
What comes over?
Your saved posts with their images. Posts with multiple photos keep all of them.
Can I sync new saves later?
Yes. Run the import again whenever you like. Moodshelf skips what it already brought over and adds only your new saves.
What about posts that were deleted?
If the original post is gone from Instagram, there is nothing left to fetch. Everything still live comes over.
How many saves can I bring on the free plan?
The free shelf holds 500 items. If an import would go past that, Moodshelf asks you first.
Which browsers work?
The extension runs on Chrome for now.
